Last month as I was going through the checkout line, i noticed that LIFE magazine had an issue devoted to Sherlock Holmes...it was about $15 bucks which I thought was too high, so I passed.

I just picked a copy on the cheap from ebay:

a good friend of mine, Father Michael Venditti, just wrote a book as a reader companion for the Sherlock Holmes stories. Father Mike is an expert on all things Holmes. I just got the book and intend to get into it this week. He spent many years writing this tome and I'm looking forward to getting into it.
