My missing check is in the mail today, Yesterday Tiaa Cref canceled it, and cut a new one, it’s in the mails, hopefully it will not take 16 days to get here. Years ago I had a bad experience with Direct Depoist, over 18,000$ was misdirected by a Crooked Bank Manager, I want to see my check, old fashioned I know.

I assume that bank's deposits were insured by the FDIC. There was little to worry over, in hte vent of a loss, other than sending in some paper work. I understand the sense of security which comes from receiving a check. It feels more real.

Fortunately for me packages send and packages waiting on all got delivered within a respectful amount of time. Knowing that there are a lot more packages in the mail during the Christmas season. I chose not to complain, there is a reason things are taking longer at this current time.

My worst experience lately has been with Fedex. Had a package traverse the entire midwest before it got to me. I actually prefer us mail because I have a lock box for packages. Makes me feel safer, except when the carrier misdelivers a package, then lies about it so they don't get into trouble. But I digress...that was a long while ago, but it still irks me.

Bought a Super Sized Mailbox, this was shoe horned so tight I had to get 2 knives on each side to pull it out, mail carrier didn’t want to get out her Jeep, same one who came they my front yard to my front steps, making massive ruts in yard. Postmaster says she’s a problem child but I can’t fire her. Government Sucks!

She tracked us down to make sure she hugged us before our last trip. 3 different carriers here have all been up the long driveway to the porch.

My package of KBV 2oz x2 of tobacco I ordered on 11/29 arrived 12/31 yesterday. Wow. I am pretty good about thinking and saying unpleasant thing's about situations. This problem we are having with packages and delivery is often not the workers fault let us be kind to them. Many of us working today in labor jobs are doing more work than ever before with worn out equipment with longer hours and less pay than before. I am sure I don't work for the only company driven by greed.

Sent a pipe from Coastal North Carolina to Northern Virginia. Went to Fayetteville first day then was off the radar for 18 days, then POOF it arrived. Only explanation: COVID.

I think the most impressive I have ever seen was by Dan (Woodsroad) he had a package that was well tracked online. It travelled up and down the East coast for a few months, I think it hit every post office.

My Nana in England sent me a box of English candies you can't get in the States once. It included some Sherbet Fountains. They are a cardboard tube wrapped in yellow paper with white dust in them - it's fizzy sugar - and a licorice straw to suck out the fizzy powder (don't do that, you'll choke). When it finally arrived, what was left of the box had a sticker from every damn customs port in the country on it. Maybe the agents in El Paso can find the cocaine! Lucky I had any left.

I orered a pound and a tin of tobacco from P&C that is on the slow mule from Bethlehem Pa.
The relay teams must be smoking it as it travels.

I've had so many issues in the last month with USPS. I'm not overly annoyed about it, but I am still waiting on the package that is of highest value and I'm hoping that it finds it's way here soon, nearly 4 weeks late!

I ordered a new 18oz tinners hammer for work a few months ago and when I checked the package details under tracking information, it weighed in at slightly under 10oz...

Logic would dictate fly east, most direct route. Instead I ended up flying south to LAX, changed planes and headed back north-east to Boise. Probably would have gotten there faster if I has driven.

Well, finally got 2 packages today - that had been held up for over 2 weeks at a Missouri USPS facility.
One started in Dearborn MI, went to Indianapolis IN, then probably travelled across central Illinois where I live on it's way to Missouri - where it sat for over 2 weeks. Then it went straight back to Michigan, then back to Missouri, then to me in Illinois.
