Just a small pour of Longbranch, then I'm headed for bed. For a short week, it's been a long week.

Old Grand-Dad 114. If you're not drinking it, you can use it to degrease an engine. Nope, I'll be drinking it.

Enjoyed a wee dram of Laphroaig 10 last night. Man, it tastes just like Latakia smells. 😄

Enjoyed a wee dram of Laphroaig 10 last night. Man, it tastes just like Latakia smells. 😄 Oh, Laphroaig is one of my favorites! It was my introduction to Islay whiskeys. My sister-in-law had bought it, based on the price, for a special "date weekend" with her bf. She handed me the bottle, full minus about 2oz and declared it undrinkable. One sniff, and my father-in-law claimed that somehow the Scotch had "gone bad." Once I learned that it's meant to be thinned out a bit, it was one of the absolute best drinking experiences. If you don't water it down a bit, it's like sucking whiskey through a sheet of oak.

A couple Gibsons. I prefer mine with Vodka (Costco "American") mixed 6:1, and served with 3 cocktail onions.

I discovered alcohol free whiskey today. They say that it's good in cocktails. They also sell alcohol free vodka. (water) PT Barnum was right.

Ayup. It's remarkable how often I accurately predict what I, myself, will drink. It's like I can read my mind.

While being completely simplistic, it's not that far off the mark. Lol

It's my favorite single malt. I actually prefer the 10 year.

As one of the few remaining aficionados of porters I plan to open up a couple bottles of Port City -- a particularly robust version -- and if I get motivated I might do a small glass of Green Spot with ice.

A trio of Hendrick's martinis. Mixed properly, it's 9oz gin to 1oz dry vermouth with a cucumber wedge squeezed in, and another slice as garnish. Very smooth...
