Hello everyone, from Detroit. I've been a pipe smoker off and on since the mid-80s, and rediscovered pipe smoking last year (just before COVID shut us down). The landscape has changed a lot in the past 10-12 years, since I’d last smoked a pipe. Not much in the way of pipe/tobacco shops anymore. I've been visiting this forum for a few months and joined today. I've already learned so much here. I’m looking forward to joining in the fun.

Only one real pipe shop on the east side of town, and a bunch of cigar/vape/ryo places that might have a few tins and OTCs.

Welcome to the forum from the high plains. I’ve a similar pipe history, having returned to pipe smoking 2+ years ago. The pipe smoking landscape has certainly changed!

Welcome from over by Battle Creek. Unfortunately, the Detroit metro area is a bit of a wasteland when it comes to pipe shops. There are a few around the state. Most notably Paul’s Pipe Shop in Flint which is well worth the drive from Detroit. A couple in Ann Arbor... Madison Edwards and Tobacco Rose.
