Good evening folks. I have been around pipe smoking(and stogies) for quite awhile now. I have bounced in and out of several pipe sites and enjoyed most of them. LesTrout gave me the scoop on this site and I look forward to hanging around a bit. My name is David and I live in Louisiana, just above New Orleans. My pipes range from cobs to higher end ones and I enjoy them all. My tobacco taste is more Virginia and some burleys, but have been getting more into the light English blends in the last year.

I'm another Dave from England living in Dallas. You'll find this place to be really friendly, no politics or religion, and most of us have known each other for years. Not many newbies asking tired old questions, like how do I pack a pipe, and what's your desert island tobacco? Our current self-described newbie is Lady Margaret, who doesn't ask dumb questions and has a really infectious enthusiasm. Sparks started the site and is pretty cool, and the other mod papipeguy we tolerate fairly well  Welcome to the friendly pipe site. PS I love cobs, but also like the 83 Cumberland Canadian I got for Christmas! |
