A quick look at my desk this morning gave me a smile...we posted ,yesterday, about collections ,and nobody ,myself included ,listed Coupons...I know it's a bit like listing money, but we all collect money; I'm wondering how many of us collect coupons. Here at my desk I have Captain Black coupons from Lane...food coupons from Kroger and Publix...oil-change ,and service coupons from local shops...restaurant coupons from the usual fast food stops like Popeyes, Burger King and Mc D's, also K.F.C. and Toco Bell. Heck!, just this morning ,coupons came in for Marlboro and Lucky Strick cigarettes I'm no fan of ciggs ,but the wife smokes Marlboros. I bet a Grand a year falls out of the sky and lands in my mailbox, maybe more...anybody other than me use these, or am I the only tightwad at the patch?

Nah I use coupons when I can. It’s worth the time and adds up.

For fast food you can often eat a lot cheaper with coupons than ordering without them.
I mostly use digital coupons that my store offers, some great deals and it is instantly applied at checkout. We get a lot of free eggs, milk, bottled water throughout the year for participating.
Store given eggs taste better than store bought eggs.

Digital coupons the best. Takes zero effort on my part. Automatically applied. Otherwise, I collect no paper coupons.

The coupons I liked were attached to Municipal Bonds. (Bearer Bonds which no longer exist). Clip the coupon and redeem at a bank for the accumulated interest.
They were negotiable and unregistered so they were great for laundering Mob money and/or evading income tax.

Why would you not take advantage of any savings that could come your way? Heck yes!

If I have nothing else to do but collect, organize and use coupons, then I probably would. It's like growing tomatoes. As long as I can afford decent tomatoes, I don't have time to grow them. I've tried couponing and it's just a PITA for me. I'll gladly use a coupon if the savings are great enough, like $20 off an oil change, but a buy 4 get one free on something that I don't eat isn't a deal. Usually not on something I DO eat. And now we live in a coupon free zone. The local grocery doesn't have them and they local oil change place is cheaper than Jiffy Lube with the coupon. It's so freeing. I don't have to feel bad about not using the 50% off coupon for kitty litter.

Actually don't get too many. The wife will occasionally use them at the grocery store.

Actually don't get too many. The wife will occasionally use them at the grocery store. I was about to type the same thing. Coupons are a rarity in my life. I can't even remember the last time I got any.
