Starting the mark twain in the cob I packed in anticipation for a sleepless night. Sipping on a bit of beer. Deciding what will be next while I organize paperwork for the day.

greets again all. Managed full walks earlier, no-band 5x50 for company. Surprised the wrapper didn't implode seeing the temps (let water trickle all nite). After the Ed is fed, Abingdon in old SamMartin freehand & continue with the paper. Will hope truck will start soon after & run a few errands for da Mrs.
+ 8, overcast at present

Greetings Patch. Thanks to Ed for giving me the idea. Abingdon In a Oom Paul with a 9mm filter for the days new smoke. Finished off yesterday’s Carolina Red Flake in the RDI. And as a follow up. I finished that Brighton and Escudo mix yesterday. That was still nothing special. But as mentioned, did like that Brighton and HH ODF combo.

Cleaned the corncob that I used all day and put it in its rack. Going to fill my Rattray's Old Gowrie Zulu with some Peterson Hyde Park. This will be my unwind from work smoke, even though I'm still working.

Had some Watch City The Chruchwarden in my John Bessai poker. Tasty mix of Latakia, Oriental and Cigar Leaf, amongst others. Quite tasty.

Visions of Celephaïs in my refurbed bent bulldog. It has a sweet aftertaste; almost like raisins or dried apricot, which isn't surprising given my original thoughts upon opening the tin. A couple of draws (I tend to smoke hot if I'm in deep thought or just not paying attention) had a funny, metallic taste which spiked my paranoia-meter after the concern some showed over my use of JB Weld to shore up the burned-away sections of the bowl, so I followed it up with another bowlful in my mini apple briar. It smoked and tasted just the same, so I'm attributing the acrid taste to minor tongue-bite rather than JB Weld poisoning

Smaller, clenchable pipes hand made from the special Autograph briar stock and they are unfiltered with a standard push tenon.

The pic is from when it was new last spring. This was one of the pipes that I picked up with my Chicago Show budget when it became clear that there wouldn’t be a Chicago Show.
