I'm a lousy reviewer, but I can say I really liked the ready rubbed, but the Bar is less appealing to me. I'm heading into the kitchen at the moment, but I'll try another bowl tonight and think about what I get out of it and get back to you. I might like the Green better, too. I like some tobaccos that others find weird, so...

Just had some Peretti 500 in my Asikyan Bent Egg. The 500 blend includes tobacco leaf but more Virginia and Orientals. Good smoke. Maybe with more experience I'll be able to give better tobacco descriptions, but this one rates 3.8 on Tobacco Reviews, so others certainly like it as well.

Stirling Bridge in a Savinelli Non Pareil 9004. I sprinkled a bit of sweet black cavendish on top ,just for room note. I smoke in the house without complaint ,but the smell of perique gets me the evil eye...a little vanilla in the air makes a big difference.

Its about the only Aro I'll smoke and, even then, only occasionally. It's dark, rich and earthy with heavy overtones of Tonquin / Coumarin ... nice after a heavy meal.

Here's my review at TR.com from 2016:
Immediately upon opening the tin, I recognized the smell of Tonquin / Coumarin. This also comes through quite strongly in the smoke as a vanilla-like flavor which decreases throughout the smoke. Once the topping subsides a bit, the overall tobacco flavor is that of the Dark Fired. Smoky, earthy and robust in flavor ... like a Kentucky Cheroot with a light French Vanilla addition. Overall, it's a bit too "aromatic" for my everyday smokes but will be a sweet, yet powerful, change of pace now and then.
Edit: I see Doc noted the 1792 comparison ... another Tonquin inspired tobacco. For those of you that use nasal snuff, if you've ever had SG Elmo's Reserve then you know the scent. I ground and snuffed some of the WH Bar and it was much lighter but similar.
Pipe Used: cobs and briars both

Most War Horse Bar (STG), same Legend. I'll see if I can get this down as I go.
So, War Horse Bar: Don't expect a plug like GH stuff. It's more akin to a krumble kake--and I treat it as such--but not so loose as, say, C&D. I don't know how much whole leaf, if any, is in this and I don't know what luck you'd have slicing it. It's a pretty little dark brownie with a bit of musty, vanilla, and something like a fruity note. At lighting and first puffs the topping flavor is intense. It somehow plays well with the rich tobacco flavors, mostly Kentucky, but settles down quickly. For a strong blend, it is fairly complex and I can pick up many unidentifiable notes along the way. I didn't identify a main player, tonquin, until a forum member pointed it out and now I get it. I love 1792 and the overall effect is somewhat different here. I know from the remake's development that there is valerian in there. It must be part of the equation but doesn't have the sweaty foot odor of valerian root, thankfully. To the end of the bowl the earthy, mildly sweet tobaccos take the lead, still with Kentucky the boldest. I don't know if this would give anyone the spins, but I get a good nicotine kick. Usual caveats apply for testing: small bowl after a meal, cob in case the topping doesn't agree with you. My tin was opened last week, dated 11/2016.

Ha, it looks like Darin posted while I was rambling! He's got a more refined palate than I. He was the one who told me about the tonquin, too!
