Solani Sweet Mystery X in my corn cob while shovelling snow again. Told myself I’d keep going until I ran out. Got as far as ten driveways and my patio before running out. That's an honest day's work, Ted. I’m just happy to help out some of my elderly neighbours while getting in a good workout Urb. Pay it forward.

Presbyterian in my Savinelli Punto Oro Smooth Natural 127 Billiard. Repair band? Nope. Factory original. It’s a grade indicator which is rare to see. Savinelli puts a golden band on to indicate a superior example of its grade. In this case, it indicates a superior example of a Punto Oro Smooth Natural. The grain on this pipe is like that all the way around. The grain easily makes the Giubileo d'Oro grade. However, there are two small fills. So, it couldn’t be a GdO. I had heard this bit of trivia a while back. A few years ago, I confirmed it while talking with Savinelli's export manager who came over from Italy to attend the Chicago Show. By happenstance, I had this pipe in my bag while talking with him.

Very nice. All my Punto Oro pipes have great grain anyway. You ever see it Savinelli Mon Ami?

KBV King's Ransom in a London Ben Wade pot. It had a sister to it but she went to a new home. So many folks here have given me so much that it was time to pay just a little bit forward. Thank you all for helping to bring me some much needed joy over the last few months.

Wrapping up my Savinelli Saturday with some Christmas Cheer 2009 in my De Luxe Milano 104 Billiard. Either you never smoke your less impressive pipes, or you're hitting about .850 as a collector.

Wrapping up my Savinelli Saturday with some Christmas Cheer 2009 in my De Luxe Milano 104 Billiard. Either you never smoke your less impressive pipes, or you're hitting about .850 as a collector. I seem to have a talent for finding good deals on nice pipes. This pipe is from the 1970s. Several years ago, I found it as an unsmoked estate pipe for $90.

Good morning Patchers. Off of work for a few days. So the current temp in Chicago this morning is -6F. I bolted for Arizona last night. A balmy 46f here at 5am.
As posted in the Mail. I brought a tin of MCB Dark twist and Club Blend with me. Thinking of doing a side by side comparison of the 2. Or maybe 1 of each, then the side by side? I’m in to exploring the spun/rolled/coin tobaccos for some reason. Last night I watched Per Georg Jens Youtube video on how to load and smoke spun tobacco. I let you know. And if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions. Please send them my way

2015 Newminster #403 in an MM Diplomat ... black coffee to drink.
As for coins, I treat them like flakes and either rub them out or cube cut. I've never been a fan of any kind of fold/stuff method as the tobacco is still too moist if it can do that, IMHO.

Haven't tried the latter, yet, but enjoyed the bowl of #7 I've had so far.
