Finishing up some Epiphany from earlier. Not sure what's next. Captain Black would be a good follow up, Justin. It will give you an experience of a sudden and striking realization that Epiphany was a much better smoke.

I find it a better smoke than many pricier "NAME" blends.

Angler's Dream in my Tom Eltang Billiard. urbino - A while ago, I responded to one of your comments about some of my birdseye something like: wait until I post my Tom Eltang. Well, here it is. The most jaw dropping birdseye in my collection.

Ron, I am calling a priest to exorcise the demons that have control of you. J/K tastes are subjective, I like Chimo oral tobacco that some would say would make a skunk vomit.

That really is beautiful. MB HH Bold Kentucky. I much prefer the ODF, but this stuff is ok and it has a good kick.

This afternoon, while working, I smoked Haunted Bookshop and Pegasus, in a couple of cobs. Now enjoying a bowl of McConnell Scottish Cake in a Savinelli Porto Cervo bent Dublin with a Labatt's Blue. Time to unwind, reset and count my blessings.

Still smoking the Scottish Cake, but require a little more relaxation before hitting the sack. Prepped a mix of C & D Vixen and GLP Stonehenge flakes for my nightcap. Might have a splash of bourbon to go with.

Time to unwind, reset and count my blessings. Sitting on the fence with Haunted Bookshop. Based on your posts, it seems to be a favourite of yours and I’m hoping to gain some insight and your honest opinion: Is it earthy and nutty like some claim? Being a cigar smoker, when I hear the term “earthy” that tells me it’s more “barnyard” and “hay” tones. Neither appeals to me cigar wise and I suspect the same in my pipe tobacco. Due to the heavy dose of perique in this blend, I’m also told to smoke it on a full stomach and that it’s not an everyday smoke. I’d appreciate your thoughts, and anyone else who’s had this blend. Thank you!

another later start. Earlier, usual walks, no-band 5x50 for company, Then about an hour with neighbor doing snowblower work. We got about 4" overnite, but a mere pittance compared to downstate, NYC, L.I areas. Next up, feed the Ed, then Abingdon in SerJac Rowlette "scoop" & finish the papers. Trip to WallyWorld later
25, overcast but no more snow xpected till much later
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY pipe/cigar since '62

Thank you! I'm not very good at describing flavors, but here's what I get: Very burley-forward, bready, nutty, some slight fruit (plummy?), underlying sweetness and spice. Maybe a little hay, mostly early. Spiciness builds and is very noticeable when you get halfway into a bowl. I don't get anything in the way of any flavoring or topping, except that underlying sweetness.
I usually start the day with this blend with coffee. I usually don't eat anything beforehand, no issues.
I prefer to smoke HB in a cob.
Hope this was helpful.

This morning, smoked Haunted Bookshop, twice in a cob and once in a rusticated Savinelli Zulu. Will be looking at something else to smoke this afternoon. Got some tobacco in the mail today, so I think I'll be trying C & D Three Friars for the first time.
