Yesterday was Truck Day at Fenway--equipment gets packed up and sent to Florida. Pitchers and catchers report next week.
The season's start date is up in the air, but I'm hoping for the best.

Yes! Other baseball fans! Lifelong Dodgers fan, here. I rarely miss a game (on MLB.tv). We had a pretty good 2020 season.  |

I think it's fairly established, really. There's a CBA in place. The owners would have to talk the players into any changes, and they don't show any sign of offering the players anything they would want in exchange. I'd be surprised if we don't start ST on the 17th and the regular season on whatever date in late March. That's assuming COVID doesn't force a change, somehow. |

The Dodgers endured the years of the McCourt and Fox ownership.
But, yeah, the tanking thing is getting out of hand. When nearly everybody else is trying to win, it's a rational strategy. When a lot of teams are doing it, it defeats the purpose. (That's assuming the purpose is to accumulate a lot of young, cost-controlled talent, and not just to spend the least amount of money possible.)

I like going to the angels spring training games. When I have time to do so. Been a live long angels fan since I grew up in so cal for the first 16 years of my. Life and have a lot of nostalgia for going to the angels games at the big A. Honestly kinda surprised I never got the logo as tattoo at some point.

It was a good year last year for Red Sox to do that with Chris Sale off the mound for Tommy John sx. I'm not sure they developed any young hurlers. They're pretty good with position players, though. |
