..as well as those low in nicotine. I've noticed that Dunhills (now that part of Peterson's lineup) and Pease's tend to have a goodly kick to them, regardless of genre. Of course, Gawith Hoggarths tend to grab your attention that way, too. Whereas the McClellands and many C&Ds (OJK, Exclusive being notable exceptions) tend to lay low in the nicotine department. Anyone else notice this?

To me Dunhill varies by blend. Dunhill Flake (now Peterson Flake0, for example, is reasonably mild for a full Virginia. I've found C&D to be Nic bombs, and as for the old McClellands, it's by blend. So, hard to say. I think it varies more by type of tobacco and age than by blender.

No wonder I gave up on 1Q so fast all those years ago I started with Captain Black White and Gold and always wanted a cigarette afterward. I'd smoke it faster to get some satisfaction and torture my tongue. I finally found the Prince and some satisfaction, then found "better" tobaccos, so I was off and running.

Hi! Old joe krantz from c&d gives me "niccups" at half a bowl.. Lancers slices is another half bowl niccup blend. There are a number of other blends I have that give a good glow but take an entire bowl so I wont list them right now. With the lancers slices as a base I mix a number of homebrew blends that taste good and have a lot of kick. The joe krantz is really tasty by itself so I find no need to improve it. As warmer weather arrives I can enjoy the other tobaccos but in bad weather, cold, or just rushed for time, I pack either one of these blends first. Hope you find a blend with what you want!

Nightcap always kicks my rear end. First time I tried it was on an empty stomach, haven’t made that mistake again.

S&G 1792 Flake. 'nuff said. Les knows I like a "robust" smoke.

Hi! My next submission for a power packed blend is... Billy Budd from cornell&deihl. I loaded a short bowl (about a 3/4 fill) and soon found a few things about the blend. Starting off it has a pleasant almost clove like taste then a bit of cigar leaf? Earthy, nutty with a spice that grows down the bowl. It is pretty stiff at the end yet I seem to get there.. lol Niccups are my usual place to end a smoke whether it be pipes or cigars. A few times a tobacco will sneak up and suddenly your tummy is flopping but this blend gives a good warning ahead of time. So it tastes good and has a heady effect.. I think it is worth a try if you are a seasoned smoker but may be a bit much for new, or light blend lovers.

Dunhill's Royal Yacht has been the only one that I felt too strong at the time.

In my case, it was the first blend I tried (the guy in front of me bought it and I didn't have another reference...little did I know.
