Scotty's University Professor in that magnificent Icarus that fadingdaylight sent me. Man, I love this pipe! If I said before that I thought Yale Mixture was my new favorite tobacco, I'm amending my statement. University Professor is the stuff.

Regarding your amended statement, I’m willing to bet in a week or so you’ll discover another new blend to die for! Hence why we love this terrific hobby of ours! Cheers.....

I believe I will break out my Esoterica, And So to Bed and enjoy a bowl in the moonlight before I go to bed. Hey Terry, long time no talk. Good to see you back brother. Life got in the way a bit. But I'm starting a new evening routine. At least for the next (month while it is still cool enough to be outside I go out and smoke before bed. Tonight I'm on my laptop outside while I enjoy Vanilla Roll Cake, (MacB)

Cotton Boll Twist in an MM Legend Rob Roy ... Lagunitas IPA to drink. Very familiar with the pipe and brew, not so much the tobacco. Where's that from?

Cotton Boll Twist in an MM Legend Rob Roy ... Lagunitas IPA to drink. Very familiar with the pipe and brew, not so much the tobacco. Where's that from? It's an old time plug mostly used for chew but makes a decent, strong smoke when dried. Lil Brown Shack used to carry it but this sample came from terrapinflyer.

Based on the descriptions for each, my guess is that I like the additional Latakia, or maybe it is the addition of the Orientals in the University Professor that give it that extra kick that I like

Butternut burley in a stained CG cob. Walt - Love the color of this pipe. Is it Fiebing's turquoise? All my cobs are stained, mostly in earth tones with bits of red, green... Regarding this pipe, is that a new ferrule on it, or the original painted over? If you replaced the ferrule, what did you use?

This particular pipe was a gift from Ken (whom I haven't seen on the forum in many moons)...it is a Fiebling stain, which one I am not sure of, the brass/copper ring is a plumbing item that he put on the shank...so you'll need to be creative in doing the same thing.
