Seems like most of the sub-fora are arranged so that latest threads are first up. But DAILY CHRONICLE is an exception. Could it not be set up so it is like the others— with latest posts first up?

"Recent Threads" will give you the most active threads, most recently replied to at the top. This is automated and is all done via code.
Not sure what else you might be referring to.

If I click on RECENT THREADS I get a list of them, last at the top. If I then click on COOKING I get the last page of those threads, themost recent ones. But if I click on DAILY CHRONICLE I get the first page of those, your “Happy New Year” post, not the most recent page,. which is p. 84 (or maybe 85 by now) and I have to click on that to get to the latest. See what I mean?

If you click on Cooking, you are clicking on a "category" with a bunch of specific threads. Daily Chronicle is a thread, with a bunch of posts. So in order to see the most recent from the Daily Chronicle thread, you would need to click the "new" icon, and it will take you to the most recent post you have read.
Does that answer the question/address the issue?

If you click on the 'new' icon you'll get taken to the post after the last post that you read.
