The staff approved me!..
Masterplan 1.a completed..
Now to the task of bringing pipes to the masses!.
My fallback position is to be somewhat mirthful and informative on a forum about pipes..
What to say in my "first light"?..hmm..
It is your own fault I am here...so many ideas and knowledge of pipes and ephemera lured me,,nay, compelled me to join!..
I have 2castellos, 3 petes, 2savi, a wonderful old gbd i use for cold winter smokes. Luxor basket pipe, (chacom 2nds i think) which i have beat like a balky mule yet still smokes fine.
I have a friend with an SC-16 castello i hope he sells it to me before I pass on to the great beyond.
As I use a phone with a terrible keyboard spelling may vary... Without google in my life i dont have a lot of options to thread links, sites, even photos may be a bit lacking..(i see post embedded pics so there is hope). I do not use third party anything except email so hope that dont slow me down too much.
Now for a bit of color commentary;
My wife and I live full time in an Airstream, are members in the club as well. I ride motorcycles and have rode with two clubs in the "Lou" and currently have a group doing rides on Sunday mornings. If any of you are in the area and would like to tag a long we welcome anyone who wants to ride for 2 hours before breakfast.
I like cigars, rolling money in a tube and smoking it can be amazingly relaxing. Being a "flavor chaser" led me back to pipes..(long story I will probably tell soon enough). Suffice to say one must be of the proper mindset to fully realize the importance of pipes to enjoy tobacco correctly..(yes there is a correct way, cigarettes are unhealthy for regular use, cigars are best while relaxing, pipes are the workingman's friend.)
Which is ultimately why I am here.... I love pipes, our selection of delightful offerings to fill them with is a wide palette of blends never seen before.
Being able to share with all of you who also love what I love is a fun and energizing proposition.
So I hope to add to our conversation today, and be part of the force bringing knowledge and a bit of cheek to future generations who may stumble on a group of enthusiasts such as this.
Anyhoo, hi y'all!
