Earlier today. I had about a 1/2 bowl each left of the SPC Potlatch and GLP Regents Flake. So a pinch of flake, a pinch of Potlatch. Repeat. Total of 6 layers. Should have been smoking it this way from the start. Was pretty good. So now that I’m done. Would I get more? Maybe way in the future, I will get more Regent Flake. Discovered that I don’t find Potlatch as special as I had thought when I had first opened this tin almost 2 years ago. And already cellared an 8oz tin. May be selling or trading that one off. Sunday. I’m going to smoke something I really want. Not sure what, but something I know I will enjoy. Monday it will be on to the next 2 open jars, that I will work my way through. Not sure what they will be yet! Glad you'll get to smoke something you actually want to smoke!

Smoked a bowl of Three Friars in a MM great Dane Spindle, and now Haunted Bookshop in the same pipe. This will be tonight's Grand Finale.

Thanks Urb. I just have SO many open tins. I refuse to open anything new, until I clear most of these out. Sadly like most newbies when I began. I would try something and think it was awesome. Then buy more tins. Then I would try something else. And find out, I didn’t thunk that other was so special.
Down to about 25, not counting the specials that I am hanging on to. 5100 for example.
I just counted. I have 49 blends in the cellar, that I have never tried!

Likewise. But I have been reducing open containers/moving stuff in rotation to 4 oz. jars. I've also been focusing on blends to stock up on and put in the cellar. That doesn't mean I'm not interested in trying something new. I also have a fair amount of single tins unopened that I've stashed away. I'm hoping they will become treats as I rediscover them.

Yeah, there's something to be said for having one's own little tobacco store to "shop" in, where most everything is "pre-aged."

Good Sunday morning. Up a little early and decided to take a page from Emily’s playbook by toasting the sunrise. Erinmore and a large coffee to keep me company. Have a great day everyone!

Smoking a mix of Sutliff's Eastfarthing and Amphora's English, with a dash of cigar leaf. This is all I've smoked for the last few days. Just a lucky break I'm sure, but these tobaccos came together, and became something that reminds me of all those little frogs that are a part of tobacco history now...I know I'll never come up with anything that good ,but I'll really miss this when it's gone.

The sun beat me by several hours today, taiguy66. Nice for a change! It was Sutliff ERR Match to start. Then cream cheese 'n' bagels and now on to Savinelli Brunello Flake in a MM Mark Twain. Cranberry pomegranate juice with.

Had some 10-year old Sutliff Maple Street in a MM Diplomat. Did really care for the Maple Street. Got some maple initially, and then just a biting sensation thereafter.

Bald Headed Teacher in my Benton. Another cup of coffee on the side. How do you like B.H.T., Ted? It's an old favorite with me, the only 4-noggins blend I've tried , but it's a dilly!

Butternut burley followed by Shortcut to Mushrooms both in a small Rhodesian (my favorite pipe)...next up is some G&H Bob's Chocolate Flake in a stained CG cob. "there's something to be said for having one's own little tobacco store to "shop" in, where most everything is "pre-aged"So true...you get to see what aged tobacco tastes like now.

Alternating between Haunted Bookshop and GLP Cumberland all day today. Today was the last week of the winter trap shooting league. A few of us got together to have a few beers and catch up on things. Someone brought venison stew in a crock pot, another brought sauerkraut and sausage. Nice to spend time with them.
