Mid-day smokes on a beautiful day: C&D Sansepolcro in a Radice Rind Billiard, then G.L. Pease Spark Plug in a Savinelli Roma 320 KS. Coffee on the side and a book in my hands; an e-book anyway.

2015 McC Old Dog in my early 90s Stanwell Diplomat 63. Dated based on when I bought it new in a shop. I think this is the pipe that I’ve owned the longest which I still regularly smoke.

Trying GL Pease Fillmore for the first time. Smoking it in a Lane era Charatan's Make sandblasted Dublin with saddle stem, shape 391x. A VaPer "in the Scottish tradition". Does this mean its supposed to be like Hal O' the Wynd, Old Gowrie or Marlin Flake?

Finishing off my open 2013 Capstan Gold Ready Rubbed in my Savinelli Punto Oro Smooth Natural 702 Billiard. Maybe I should call this a Billpool as the shank length is somewhere between Billiard and Liverpool.

Smoking some GLP Cumberland in a bent Grabow Viking with a black, wire-finished Apple-ish bowl. I'm waiting for some Grousemoor to dry a bit before I try it out. Tin note is that of soap, roses and bubble gum . I still have to choose which pipe to ruin. Wish me luck.

Some reviews that I read say this blend has a mild application of the essence and is a good entry-level tobacco for the Lakeland experience. Gonna light it up right now. Stand by.

Finishing C&D Virginia Gentleman in a MM Diplomat. Edit: Scatterbrain, me. I meant to say I loved Cumberland--though haven't had any open of late--and I don't remember an obvious topping. Huh. Edit redux: You're talking about Grousemoor. That's all sorts of Lakeland. It's good but not a favorite of that ilk. Carry on, nothing to see here.

Just finishing a bowl of SG Grousemoor in a little Medico Pot. Interesting, tastes good. Good enough for an occasional smoke. In no hurry to put in a jar, as this stuff had to dry for over half an hour before I smoked it.

I went a few months without, because I couldn't open up an 8 oz. can without being able to put the stuff in a jar. This was when mason jars were scarce around here.
