Honestly that combo makes my mouth water. I am considering it on my next order. I have been a Reese's cup fan for a long long time.

This one doesn’t sound like one I would like any more than a tuna fish sandwich blend.
But then again tastes are subjective, I smoke blends that others don’t like.

My tastes in blends has been morphing. I was big into English and Balkan blends and I still like them. I have recently been looking again at VA and VA/Per blends. I am not getting the bite I used to get, and the deep dark flavors are very enjoyable, but one that even has a chance at tasting or smelling like Reese's peanut butter cups. I am on that.

I'm excited to try it. This blend is the final result of a lot of testing iterations and I'm expecting the best. I don't see the 'peanut butter and chocolate' idea as being any stranger than most flavored tobacco blends - I'm more surprised that no one has done this in the past.
There are some blending ideas that are turn-offs for me so much that I won't try them, so I get it. But to me this seems like a good, plausible idea. I'll know in a few weeks.

Jim was just a lad in 1972, when this happened.
He has been sitting on it since then.

I have about two pounds of your blends waiting for me in Portland, all based on Jim's recommendations. I haven't tried your Peanut Butter & Chocolate yet, but I responded earlier because anyone in their right mind would know that if you and Jim designed a blend to taste like Peanut Butter & chocolate...that the smoker would certainly detect...peanut butter & chocolate. If I smoke it and can't detect one or both, I'll brush my teeth, drink a glass of water, eat an apple, clean my pipe...and try again. |

Mine arrived days ago. Found that my particular batch of both PB and PB & Chocolate needed a good deal of sun-dry time. Once sufficiently dried, these blends tasted, smelled, and smoked like they fell from HEAVEN!!! Jarred them and now can't keep from sticking my nose in just to get another whiff.... soooo gooood!!!! Get ya some!!!

Follow-up on my initial impressions of Wilke's Peanut Butter blends: SENSATIONAL!!! - And for this 40+ year veteran pipe tobacco enthusiast ..ADDICTING!!! But be forwarned - give these blends ample dry time (sponge-to-crisp) for maximum flavor & burn enjoyment. The flavors are definitely as advertised and expertly reviewed at TR. The burn characteristics are out of this world with gobs of creamy billowy one-light-past-char-light cloud blankets (if dried properly) perfect for cold nights and balmy Summer breezes. I'm a damn persnickety S.O.B. picky baccy critique, but these Wilke/ JimInks masterpiece creations top Mt. Everest in my book of books! Smooth, creamy, flavorful, and delicious! |
