Happy Saturday, all! Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in a MM Washington 5th Ave. Moved on to Pegasus in a MM Pony Express that I swapped out for a longer stem. Kinda Bing-ified it.

Now smoking Amphora Kentucky Blend in an MM Pony Express, very nice. Much like the Burley Blend, ready to smoke straight from the pouch, easy going, need to buy more.

This time I chose the right thread to post. Maybe we should get the April thread locked. Anyway, I'm smoking C & D Riverboat Gambler in a MM Washington 5th Ave. I've rubbed out some Windjammer for later, letting it dry a bit. Got a can of Yuengling open. Might work on a couple corn cobs this evening.

I guess I'm in the right thread now. That reminds me to give Wonder Dog his heartworm pill. GH Rum Flake is ready to go in a Kaywoodie bulldog.

May 1st. a slightly busy period ending with a fun farewell to a cool couple we met last year and who now are leaving for good.
tomorrow is ride day which will be the special series rusticated barrel peterson army mount p-lip..(whew that's a lot of name for a tiny pipe. it does have a rebornpipes archive entry for the restoration.) filled with briarville sweet tea. I have a non smoking buddy who is crazy for cavendish smells so I save this blend just for ride day. i think the others like it as well so score one for crowd pleasing aromatics!.
been on a speakeasy deep dive in several pipes. again found the sc-23 Castello to give the blend the best format. I mean, a chunk of wood, two holes not a lot there to the casual eye yet I find subtle, and not so subtle characteristics among my collection of chunks of wood with two holes. changing pipes with the same blend has been my quick hack to see the nuances of a blend and I alway have fun to see which one gives the best treatment to the flavors. I often guess right but sometimes i find an underdog that pulls through. anyhoo, happy May everyone

It was a busy day of tractor repair. 2 bowls of 50/50 Yale Mixture/ Scotty's University Professor followed by an evening bowl of Visions of Cephelais. Glenlivet 12 year Founder's Reserve in American Oak barrels to accompany that last one.

Happy to see we're all in the right place! Funny thing is, I created the May thread and then posted in April a couple hours later, myself.

Today is Easter here in Greece but due to the quarantine we don't celebrate as it should, here is a poster back from the good old days of 60's. I am smoking Vanila Hausmarken.

May 2nd. Spent the morning chasing my Elders in the curvy back roads to a decent omelet in bloomington mo. basically the only place there. It is fun when they feel spry and drive the bikes a bit faster in the corners. Not for the faint of heart or first timers. Nice part is I just need to follow the same track rather than worry any bad spoys in the roads. Benefit from all the years they have been running the Jack's Pack ride lets us run pretty fast on bad roads. They always seem to know what corner to push speed and which to slow down for. Add in our group signals for debris and hazards and you have a very fun outing indeed. As stated in my prior posting the bowl was the petite pete with sweet tea. i was up early so I snuck in a quick bowl of speakeasy(c&d) as the Tea is light in power. now is redcarpet(again, c&d) in the pete newgrange x105 spigot which is my goto mid size pipe. on deck is the castello sc-23 with a surprize bowl of plum pudding. with the rain coming around 5pm as much as I want to, it would be wasteful to load the 107 or the Castello GGG lovat this late in the day. anyhoo, I do wish to complememt all the great pipe pics being posted!
