SP has had that box for about a year and I suspect they'll have it for many more. Now, that S. Bang would be a fine addition to any collection.

If I won the Lottery ( not much chance , I don't bother), I would get Ron (RDpipes), to make my dream set of three matching pipes, A Rhodesian , a Bulldog & a Poker. Keep pipe dreaming guys & gals :-)

Everybody has different priorities and mine differ greatly it seems. I'd first find a home away from everything where I could spend the rest of my life. Second, I'd make sure my daughter was secure for the rest of hers. Then I'd get a much bigger shop with everything I would ever need to make pipes for as long as I wish. Sorry but, purchasing over priced tobacco wouldn't be one of them.

I would disperse the majority of any big jackpot to people I love and causes that could use it. I would keep enough to pay everything off, live out my days as I see fit and have some luxuries. An heirloom pipe and some rare tobaccos would be lost in the noise.

Winning that amount of money I take seriously, even though it'll never happen it's a dream of all dreams for me. That and I wouldn't pay that much for anything unless it had a steering wheel attached to it, not even a pipe. I'm just a cheap bastard I reckon.

No worries Ron. No offense was taken. I don't know why I dream about things that will never happen. I'm so frugal that I don't ever spend money on lottery or lotto anyway. How would I win millions. Silliness.

we would buy a farm and set it up with alpacas so I oculd have wool for yarn. Hubby has a lot of ideas for fruit trees, etc. and he would want to make hard cider. We would get back into soapmaking and I would have my own smoking gazebo, maybe with a hot tub and a fire pit where I could enjoy the stars and just watch the smoke rings

First order would be in a temperate climate....thinking something like around Silver Dollar city NM.......and build a ranch that is capable of living off the grid if need be....Or a summer ranch of the same in Montana, winter in new Zealand or Australia. After that I would be benevolent, but it would be on a case by case basis. Some of my closest family members, just handing them money would only be to their disadvantage.I remember seeing the wife of Jack Whittaker being interviewed, reminiscing about how much better it was before they won the lottery. Jack was sucessful running his construction company, and winning millions only provided the vehicle to him acting on impulses that formerly rational thinking would have prevented, and their "success" has came at a great price. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Whittaker_(lottery_winner)

From what I've read he may not have deserved the money anyway. First, he was already worth 17 million and Yes he donated to a church but, then in his own name started a charity and frequented a strip bar where a lot of his money was stolen out of his car. Doesn't show much brains there and he obviously wanted to flaunt his new money otherwise why carry that much around with ya. Sounds like he pretty much caused his own problems and God took the rest away from him, including kin. Maybe he figured donating to a church would protect him from any wrath, reckon he figured wrong. Hope someone learned something from this.

very true! i heard he spent $100 at a time on lottery tickets. I would presume he handed out money to his granddaughter hand over fist which probably contributed to her eventual overdose. interesting fact, the strip club is now a BBQ Restaurant.

Yeah, you would think that with a net worth of 17 million, he would have a pretty good handle on how to deal with the windfall...pretty sad story.
