I don't know about you guys but I've been pretty busy over the last weeks...buying pipes. I must say, besides the crazy mishap with the 3102 which was returned, I am really happy with the brand overall. They have smoked outstandingly from the start, exceptionally so actually. The finishing is great and very meticulous. They are lightweight which demonstrates mucho seasoned briar. The stem work is stellar, very consistent. As for the engineering, well, it is simply impeccable. In a nutshell, they have been an absolute pleasure to smoke! From top to bottom, left to right: County 4115 Cumberland 4110 Shell Briar 4106 County 4113 Cumberland 4108 County 4114 Shell Briar 4120

Nice! Glad you came away feeling better about the brand than you did a few weeks ago. That's reassuring.

Great Looking Group of Pipes! You've got many of Dunhill's classic shapes covered. I love collecting groups of like pipes. I've collected a couple Dunhill 7 day sets over the years that I'm fond of and was very excited to have finished a very rare set of 7 matching shape Castello's last winter.
You should show this group off in the Dunhill Collectors Group on Facebook. Check it out if not already a member!

Many thanks for your kind words! I felt like there was one shape missing: the Straight Apple, which happens to be my favorite shape. I found a Cumberland 4101 and will be adding it to the set.

I spotted this Bruyere Quaint, a G4. I have not seen this shape a lot (yes, it's a Quaint, so it explains it ). I simply could not resist. A beautiful, very elegant Bent Apple with an oval shank.

Lovely 9-day set you've got there. I think you need to expand to a 2-week set.

I say his future plans sound spectacular, give him another day to close the deal on the lovat before you lock him away!

And again...A Bruyere 4101. My evil twin brother is on a Dunhill bender, it seems. I suspect he would like a Chestnut Lovat for the next one. I say it's time to lock him up for a while. On eBay, the seller pipe-24 who is in Germany has a new White Spot Ring Grain Lovat in group 4. I bought my Ring Grain Liverpool from him.

And it's a good thing I do have some pipes and tobacco because, curiously, smoking them seems to be the only thing I can afford to do right now .
