But if you are a member of a pipe club that participates as a member of the UPCA:
For the second year in a row, the Chicagoland Pipe Show has been cancelled, and with it, the annual UPCA national pipe smoking contest. Since we cannot meet in person, the annual meeting of the UPCA members will be held via Zoom this year. The meeting is open to all our member clubs as well as our associate and individual members.
If you are not familiar with Zoom, please read the tips located at the bottom of this email. The meeting link is also included. (It will not be active until 15 minutes before the start of the meeting.)
After four years, I will be stepping down as President of the club, although I will continue as webmaster. Our Treasurer, John Winton, will also be retiring. The position of Secretary is also open. Attached is the agenda for the meeting, as well as a list of nominees for UPCA officers. I have asked the nominees to write a paragraph or two as to why they want to take on these duties. I hope this will help casting in your vote.
