Recently came into possession of this, a Barling Ye Olde Wood with a model number 59. The logo and markings are faint but it has Barling's in block letters arranged in an arc over the word make and then Ye Olde Wood with the number 59, which I believe is the model number and intended for the U.S. audience. It is in fairly good shape but it's obvious it has had years of use. My only doubt is the mouthpiece doesn't carry the Barling cross, so it's possible it's a replacement. Wondering if anyone has any input regarding whether it is legit pre-transition and when it might have been made. Also is there any way to raise the markings to make it easier to read. I assume not but I thought I would ask. Just got through with the cleaning so haven't smoked it yet.

I don't know anything, but that's a very elegant pipe. Congratulations!
