The best advice I have heard relating to this is to start making phone calls. None of these blends have ever really appealed to me, but they are obviously discussed constantly.
Grab the phone, find some smaller shops and start calling the phone tree. It's a pita, but probably your best bet unless you want to part with a days pay and buy from ebay.

When I wanted Stonehaven or Penzance I found it. This was long before some fella had a thread on some other forum. Get a list of off the wall tobacconists to go with the mainstream. Phone them and continue to do so. This stuff ain't that hard to find. A fw years ago when it was really tough I had over 20 bags of each. Diligence and it will happen. BTW, yes I sold many of my bags to the Chinese entrepreneurs and turned the cash into Rad Davis pipes. No regrets here!

A lot of the retailers where it can be found don't do ecommerce or mess with shipping. Those local retailers are where you'll find your source. Good advice! I've made quite a few calls to stores around the US, even a few who had just recvd. their Stonehaven order just hours earlier, but alas I was too late. No worries... |

Most aren't going to sell to you over the phone and shaft their regular walk in customers. That's why you need to shop local. Bill... I hear ya loud & clear! Sadly, I live in South Florida, where cheap Honduran cigars rule the day, and discerning tastes for fine pipe tobacco in local stores boils down to no-name blends in big glass jars. I'm in no real rush, and one of our fine resident forum members provided me with very generous samples - I'm satisfied for now>>> :-) |

When I was on the hunt I was able to acquire many bags of both Stonehaven and Penzance. Cash rules. |
