Hello fellow Briarpatch members. My name is Jamie. I have been enjoying the hobby of pipe smoking since 2014. Back then i was a tongue bitten, dry lipped newb desperately seeking the needed information to allow me to successfully enjoy pipe smoking. Trial and error and a great deal of help from members of other forums as well as being a member of a pipe club for awhile aided me in being the newb I am today. I have many different styles of pipes in my collection and nearly 100 pounds of tobacco of nearly 100 different blends. My favorite pipes are anything that smokes well. My favorite tobaccos are anything other than aromatics as I'm not in the realm of expertise to enjoy their character. I hope to continue learning and advancing my knowledge of the hobby we all enjoy so well. Thanks for your time while reading this. Happy piping.

Hi Jamie, We welcome you to the Patch. I believe you might enjoy it here. To insure success, I think I should prepeare you for an oddity or two that might help you in your Patch jouney.  Though the rules restricting some topics reduces any number of bullish characters, there are a few Patch members to watch out for. One such person is this guy Q. Original right??? lol From the pages of Star Trek or something??? LMAO He can be annoying. He also has a few good things to say. Is Q a troll , one might ask? I would not say Q is a troll, though there are times when Q’s behavior is a bit trollish. Personally, I think he is just trying to get a few laughs lighten up the mood. Just be aware of his presence and when he contributes something solid send him a snack, pet him on the head and let him go his own way. Welcome to Patch ….. |
