I'd like to pick up 1/2# or more in bulk of some blends. What size jars should I be looking for? Not for long term storage, but for the purpose of getting bulk out of baggies into something a bit more stable.
Thanks in advance
Pete

I haven't been at this long, but I use the wide mouth pint-size Ball jars.

I prefer smaller jars. I usually get 2oz in a 4oz Ball jar.

Wide-mouth pints for the cellar, although I do have a bunch of quarts that I had to use during the pandemic-induced shortage. I use the 4 oz. jelly jars to work out of.

I use everything from 4-oz. to 64-oz. Whatever size you can easily get will work.

Buy extra lids so when a piece of tobacco gets stuck in the seal you can use a new lid and not have any problems. I use jelly jars for my rotation. Large mouth pint, pint and a half and quart jars. I only use the half gallons for making sun tea. I think we have 400-500 jars around the house.

During the shortage, I went to my Dad's house (that we've been caring for since November) and rounded up my Mom's collection of jars. She's been gone 2 1/2 years, but she's still looking out for me.

I like the 4 oz wide mouth for daily use. The pint wide mouths will hold about 1/4th pound, and I use those too. For long term I use quarts ,both wide mouth and regular .

I use the wide mouth Half Pint / 8oz. jars so I can use one without disturbing the rest and hope for ageing on the others, that and there small an easy to handle.
