not to mention the bowls are just too small, a tease at best for me. I’m also a pick it up and put it down all day kind of smoker and I have lots of pipes of all sizes to choose from but I really only smoke my Group 6 size and larger pieces. I rarely if ever smoke my MM Cobs. They just don’t have enough capacity. Maybe they need to grow bigger corn!

Another kernel has been popped... Took me longer to get than it should have. Well played.

Um...I think they're ok.
...
Nah...I love them. I never have issues with my cobs, from a smoking point of view. They just don't look and feel the same as briar though.

Cobs vs. briars is kind of an apples-oranges thing. I would NEVER give up my briars for cobs. They are a bonus, not a replacement. Different, ≠ equal. Just another example of the richness of our piping pleasure.

Humorously, at one point I actually gave away or sold almost all of my briars, and bought a pile of cobs. I have since rebuilt my briar rotation, and added my first morta, which I love, but I still throw another cob on just about every tobacco order.
