Welcome from Virginia. I started pipe smoking over forty years ago, and I still have questions, but there's plenty of knowledge to be found here. The internet wasn't even around when many of us started , at least you can shop online and learn online...back in caveman days ,we just picked up a pipe and learned as we went along.

welcome/greets from 50miles East of Buffalo, NY. Fond memories of NE area, competed & won some various distance road running events in all the states back "in the day", think one near Bates College. Old timer at the hobby, now dedicated lata-holic with pipe blends, do some cigars in the mix. As others have mentioned, hope you enjoy your stay & contribute as you wish
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY pipe/cigar since '62 at 80 last Dec, still upright & active far as it goes

Haha. I get a box of chix flown in every summer. Talk about sticker shock! haha yeup My mom is in Maine and she just told me current market price up there. Jeepers. We may skip them this year! There must be red tide up there, too, because there's no steamer clams. Bummer.

Another Arizona welcome to the forum, congratulations on deciding to yourself of the coffin nails. A lot of good advice to be had here, but no rights and wrongs in tobacco and pipe choices.
Try different genres of tobacco if you can, hopefully you have a good local tobacconist that knows something about pipe tobacco to help you.

Talk about sticker shock! haha yeup You may want to check back into the other thread you started re tobacco recommendations for hopefully helpful replies. Several members shared their experienced advice. The Thumb Up/Like button in the upper right corner serves to acknowledge receipt, etc. Welcome!
