Not sure if it is quite a 'collection' yet, but it was getting a bit scattered. Had to clean off another shelf.
I'm going to have to get another pipe rack just for cobs...

Git yoself a book case and filler up! Mine is on a bookcase! That is the top 2 shelves. Bar is the 3rd shelf down (for now), so I'll be cleaning off the bottom two shelves soon enough I'm sure.

It looks good Darktater. for months, if not the last year my office area has been a disaster zone, having a recent water leak from the attic compounded the mess. Anyway, today I got half of the office cleaned up, after the repair guys can tackle the work, the other part with the bookcases should be fixed. My tobacco cabinets, pipe cleaning/ restoration/ overflow tobaccos are in the shelves by the chair. Still a mess up against the window, I need to get a narrow cabinet and get rid of the bins.

Very nice, Charlie! That old meer is something else...looks like it has a horn stem.

trailboss, those cabinets are awesome! I really like that floor stand pipe rack as well. I didn't have any repairs, 15yo grandson moved in with us and the wife's sewing room became his bedroom. Some of her stuff moved to my office, plus I had some of Dad's old stuff that I wasn't ready to deal with. Finally moved some of the mess around and made some room.

I didn't really want it, but a guy threw it in with a large lot of pipes and that pipe stand on the floor. Some day it will be someone else's white elephant gift.

The younger generation doesn't really want the old cabinets, so the prices have really dropped. If you go to antique stores or consignment shops, you can pick up cabinets relatively inexpensive. The buffet cabinet was my wife's grandmother's the taller armoire was a craigslist find...really a beater, but for $25.00 it works well to hold tobacco.

I hit up my first voluntary antique mall last weekend, I'm think I'll be doing that a bit more. Seems like the more antique I get, the more interesting those place become...

There is a really old, beautiful glass front, tobacco display cabinet at an antique mall, but whatever vendor has that section wants a kings ransom for it. Judging by his price he is asking, I think what I would offer would be an insult, but it might be something I should do.

I started looking for a china cabinet for my pipes and I had my choice of dozens in the area for $250-300. I got a perfect 60s cabinet for 300. Now if I can just find my pipes. 🤔

“ Is that a Morris chair I see?”
In style, yes. But no, it does not recline, it is a rocking chair.

I have been searching for a multi tiered 50-60 pipe rack with open stem rests so that I can get rid of the smaller pipe racks.
I have been looking in Antique shops for a few years… nada, buying a new one costs several hundred dollars. I saw some nice ones on east coast brick and mortar auctions, and by the time you pay auctioneers fees, taxes, packing service and shipping, it is a non starter.
Tip to newbies… if you are buying pipe racks, the U shaped openings for the stems are better than circular if you have any bent pipes or longer stemmed ones.

Nice organizations. I found a neat little six-drawer cabinet at OfficeMax that has really helped me orgnanize all the stuff I keep handy at Command Central (my dinette table). Only about $55 and REAL wood. Nice wood, too. Took a bit to get it together but pretty straight forward. The drawers inside are 12.5”Lx 10Wx3.25”H. It’s on rollers.

I know it's disgusting, but it beats the heck out of Craig's List. We have a antique dealer friend who does estate sales and she didn't have room for it in her store.

Pretty nice, Ron!
Much more functional than it was originally made for. We had a custom wall China cabinet made to match the kitchen cabinets. We have used the inherited China once.. beautiful dishes, but nobody wants responsibility for chipping or droppping them.
