Hello all! I've recently gotten back into pipe smoking after a few years away and thought it'd be nice to join a forum. I'm pretty involved in another forum for another vice (watches), and it's great fun. I'm 35, an American expat in Edinburgh, Scotland. Just living the life and enjoying it while it lasts. My industry is... fickle, to say the least. Here's a pic of my humble collection:  - MM Cobbit Shire

- Ropp Etudiant (my first)
- (arriving tomorrow) Turkish Block Meerschaum - Bent Squat Tomato Pipe, from a local Edinburgh shop
At the moment, I'm smoking: - Gawith Hoggarth: American Dark V.
- Mac Baren: Seven Seas Regular Blend
- Rattray's Old Gowrie
- local shop's Balkan blend

adding welcome/greets from 50miles East of Buffalo, NY, USA. Only started smoking in '62 after my distance running "career" ended with two bulging disks (nothing verticle but compete in local charity 5k run/walks). In '60, won the world Jr (under 21) x-country over a golf course near Duneeden (I think). The only Yank to ever do so at the time. Now 80+ enjoying mostly heavy latakia blends.

As for the pipes, only the Ropp Etudiant has been with me for any amount of time, since college, actually. I had sold many others. The other ones you see here are only days or weeks old. Starting anew in my new country after a long break. |

Edinburgh, Scotland Is one of my favorite places in Europe.
I think if it as London lite. Big city. But small city feel, with everything you could ever want.
Edinburgh gin, my favorite distillery. Cannonball is fabulous.
