I just wish that the Turkish authorities would allow the raw material to be exported, a Turkish exporter of pipes at the last west coast pipe show agrees with me. I think that opening the world up for other carvers would benefit the Turkish meerschaum. One needs to look no further than what the Vienna carvers of days past produced in order to agree.
