Decided to dust the pipes off a bit, having some Lane 1Q in my Joe Case bent egg with a cup of really rich, stout coffee

One pipe and one blend today so far. After just finishing a bowl of GH & Co. Rum Twist in the Kaywoodie Saxon blasted panel billiard, I've run a cleaner through and packed another bowl of Rum Twist. This time with a good pinch of 2012 McClelland 221b Honeydew Flake (also pure Virginia) to hopefully get mostly Rum Twist with a little hint of a stretched out honeydew flake in there. Rum Twist is far better than McClelland Honey Dew flake was, sorry McClelland.

Missed out on the whole McClelland thing, so I don't even know what I'm missing. Probably better off that way. But your Kaywoodie Saxon is tempting me to add another to the collection. Dammit.

Been told sutliff Balkan sobranie 759 match is the same blend in bulk. I’ll have to check that claim out sometime as I really like blackhouse. Probaly going to take a break from it tho.

But your Kaywoodie Saxon is tempting me to add another to the collection. Dammit. That particular flake was a part of the Sherlock Holmes series and a mild McC VA flake but there were many extremely great Virginia and other blends from McClelland. My favorite tobacco was McClelland's Tudor Castle (Not to be confused with Tudor Castle Arcade, which contained latakia) but it was a tangy red VA flake with perique and Yenidje, and I've only got a couple tins in the cellar. I was only able to find Tudor Castle Arcade at the last pipe show. When I decide to open some 2010 Christmas Cheer, or my one tin of the Blue Anniversary (These are just pure Virginia flakes, there's nothing actually Christmas about them other than it being the best grade and best red Virginia ever available) I'll have to send you some.

I've got a pound and a half of the Sutliff 759 match, and it's a superb Balkan Sobranie match, imo.

Frog Morton Cellar, with an equal amount of Voodoo Queen, in a Butz Choquin billiard. The peppery notes of the V.Q. are a nice addition to the F.M.C.; a pleasant way to make my last tin of F.M.C. go a tad farther{that's a pun} with my morning coffee.

hope all having a nice weekend so far. In from full walks, Quorum 6x50 "torpedo" for company. After the humans are fed (brunch time), Exotique in pointy bottom gifted cob & continue with the paper. Hope stepson comes down from Rochester & find the "print" button so wifie can print a few coupons, hope he also can "activate" the cell phone. Otherwise, quiet day with football
