In addition to the Westminister I have coming, could you please recommend what you smoke as an everyday English? Thanks, LeRoy

Kramers Father Dempsey is a good everyday english. Still easy to get from Smoking Pipes. Comes in bulk also.

Wilke #400 is an excellent light English.

I'll second MM965. Balkan Sasieni is my all day go to blend though.

For an all day English, I always turn to Presbyterian Mixture. Or Petersons Old Dublin.

In addition to another vote for Stokkebye's Proper English, I recommend Balkan Sobranie 759 (match) and Sutliff 526 "Old Professor"

To go a different route, LJ Peretti's Tashkent and Royal are my top picks for an everyday English. I love the woody, incensey orientals and these two deliver, with nice latakia smokiness and not much sweetness. If you like a "dry" but full flavor, these are great.

I'll throw in a couple of thoughts here.
Firstly, I can't recall just smoking one blend throughout the entire day, except back when I was starting out in the 80's, and it was a pouch of Borkum Riff.
Over the last 4 years or so I've gone from being just an evening pipe smoker to pretty much an all day pipe smoker, when I'm working from home that is.
Day's like today I started out with my normal pot of black coffee and a pipe of Early Morning Pipe. A nice mellow English blend, sort of easing one into the day, so to speak.
Later today I will undoubtedly move on to some MM965, a bit more full bodied of a smoke (for me anyway).
If I had to make a choice for an "All Day" English, taking availability into consideration, it would probably be EMP.
Just my $0.02. ;-)

Mmmmm. An English blend to suggest. We certainly don’t lack for options. Have to agree with bonanzadriver, I also have too many options to consider any one of them an all day smoke. But one you might consider trying is Peter Stokkebye’s PS 306 English Oriental Supreme.

Father Dempsey is my go to, but get your hands on one of Peretti’s English blends. I strongly recommend Omega. Superb.

Thank you ALL for your recommendations. I've had many of them, but will certainly try some of the rest. Can't believe I haven't had MyMixture 965 yet. It truly is a classic. Thanks again, LeRoy

Wilke's Crystal Palace is surprisingly nice and slightly off the beaten path without being unobtanium.
