Here in N Carolina the weather has been warmer than usual. A lot of trees have have budded out early including fruit trees.Tonight and for the next two nights we're in for hard freezes. This could have a really bad effect on this years fruit crop. The extent of the damage won't be known for a few more days.I'm hoping that things go better than expected.Farmers already have enough problems. They don't need this.

I have four dwarf cherry trees here in KY which had already budded out due to warm February weather. Our last couple nights have been below freezing, looks like a couple more before a warm-up back to near normal again this weekend. They're pretty resilient. I'm still hoping for a positive outcome. We'll see after it warms back up. Best of luck to y'all.

All of our plants are now sitting under 14 inches of snow. This stuff will be on the ground for quite a while.

It has been in the 90's here for the last week and more of the same going into the weekend. A bit cooler when I go into So. California every night.... pretty comfy for my nap time.

I agree, John. I think it's beautiful when we get a couple inches of light fluffy stuff for the holidays, but beyond that they can keep it.
All that snow in my picture is now essentially ice as it was sleeting and then raining. One solid crusty coating. Gotta get the Jeep out today. Thank God it's a Jeep.

So glad that I don't have to deal with it... I used to go over Donner pass regularly, got pretty good at throwing chains on the tires but it still sucked. As a kid, I made good money shoveling snow though.

I only had to chain up a few times Charlie and that here in PA on US 40 close to the MD boarder. I used to haul rock salt to various DOT salt sheds and right in the area I delivered lots of salt to there would be a lot of trucks unable to climb some of the hills during a heavy snow. After getting stuck twice I was able to convince my boss to buy me some single snow cables and that was enough to get me through the snow storms.
