Every sorry has it's twin joy. The pleasure of scratching almost pays for having the itch.

Hello. I've always loved English/Balkan tobaccos, but I don't want to get burned-out on them. I crave and crave that next Latakia HIT. It's a feeling and pleasure I enjoy so much. Has this ever happened to you? Do you moderate your intake? Smoke milder blends so you want get such a delirious "high"? Has this ever happened to you? Are you afraid it will? Let me know your thoughts please... Thanks, LeRoy

I try to go round the horn on visiting different blends, but I admit to falling into a routine when a blend really hits the mark. At the Arizona pipe club in it’s infancy, we had a meeting that it was a lat bomb from hell… like the Peppermint Schnapps hangover I had from the seventies, it took a while to revisit the blend.
I try to bounce around a bit, fortunately there are great English, Virginia’s, aromatic, Burley blends to please any palate that I try to not get stuck in a rut.

I don't care if I get burned out on one blend. I have all kinds. If I get tired of one I'll just move on for a while.

I generally reserve Lat blends for cooler weather months which also keeps them as a bit of a treat.

I love Lat and smoke it often. But I also liked Dark Fired and aged Virginias. I give myself plenty of time with each.
