John ^^^^^^ your extremely lucky!! Every 1951 Dunhill I’ve seen in good condition so far is $450.00 plus...not paying that much...not a big deal I’ll keep my eyes open. I still have my grandfather’s 2 Dunhill Pipes I smoke on special occasions.

Well, I finally got my 1952 Tan Shell birth year Dunhill. !952 was the first year for the Tan Shell. Nice one. And with some meaning to it too. I hope it's one of your best smokers.

Paddy, a ‘52 should be a great smoker. After ‘68 all the best briar that Dunhill used in making their pipes depleted drastically.

Beautiful pipe!!! Hope it smokes well for you👍 Personally, I’ve never had a bad issue with a Kaywoodie. KB&B from the mid 60’s & prior used well aged high quality briar. Their briar “ seconds “ made excellent smokers.....known as Yello-Bole Pipes. Part of my collection consists of over 25 pipes, both KB&B brands...wish I had more👍👍👍 Superb smokers!!!
