Stopped off at Briarwork's, as I'm staying nearby. They had a really cool long stemmed Devil Anse pipe that I was tempted by, but I mentioned I liked saddle bits and they brought out a few "Apprentice" pipes. I ended up getting two of those: a lovely Lovat, as well as a Neptune style that caught my eye. I also picked up a tin of SG Best Brown Flake.

I really dig the Lovat. I really like the longer pipes, Canadians, Lovats, Lumbermen, etc.

I like them both. The contrast of the natural rim on the Neptune is striking!

Nice looking pipes!
That looks like a place I would like to visit someday, they really went all out on designing a nice lounge.

I really dig the Lovat. I really like the longer pipes, Canadians, Lovats, Lumbermen, etc. Thanks, I have always liked the Lovat shape, but haven't owned one. I saw this one and had to have it. I had some Dark Bird's Eye in it last night and it had a great draw and a wonderful smoke.
Thank you Goldbrick. I love the contrast as well, it really made the pipe stand out amongst the others. It has pretty thick walls, but is still quite light.
I've stopped in there twice now on trips to visit family. Both times the people at Briarworks were very friendly and helpful. The lounge is quite nice, and right next to the factory. Worth checking out if you are ever in the area.
