Although I haven't been buying much tobacco online these days, in the past I have always had good experiences with Eddie Gray at the Pipenook, this email recently came in from him. www.thepipenook.com/store/c14/tobacco#/He is a worthwhile guy to support and reached out to me and the Arizona Pipe club as he wants to support the clubs and does so on his site. www.thepipenook.com/pipe-clubs.html#/

Dang. That's too bad. At least he's still making an effort.

Dang. That's too bad. At least he's still making an effort. Yeah. A lot of people are going to be hesitant to send in a copy of a drivers license just to buy tobacco, and I get it. But in all reality, addresses and names are in the databases of all the online retailers. I hope Eddie can prosper in spite of all this.

In the YT video he made about it, he didn't seem terribly concerned. He was annoyed that the merchant service pulled the rug out from under his store all of a sudden like that, but he didn't seem concerned about the future of his business. Maybe tobacco sales weren't a big part of his revenue, anyway?
Regardless, it's gonna suck trying to sell the inventory he's got now. That money is probably going to be tied up a while.

Here's the video where he talks about why he no longer sells tobacco online. Jump to 4:44 to hear it. He speaks slowly and keeps stopping to smoke, so bear with him if you want.

Initially I thought you were referring to merchant services pipes pulling the rug out. These merchant servicing organizations that agree to handle credit card transactions are really starting to annoy the hell out of me. The same has been happing to legal online purchases of firearms related goods for quite some time. If they think that they are somehow the new moral authority on choosing what they will allow, how about gambling, alcohol, head shops supplies, pornography, unhealthy snacks and such? It would be nice for someone with the resources to offer an alternative credit card and merchant services to handle the money that these companies deem inappropriate.

www.nraba.org/BA/BenefitsI haven't had any issues buying firearms or ammunition, but I don't know what is happening on the merchants end. Conservatives are now seriously developing alternatives to the woke companies that seem to be in charge of everything these days.

Yeah, I had forgotten about it but McMillan firearms was one of the first companies to be affected and the credit card processing company held their funds hostage some years back. in turn, they started their own company. mcmillanusa.com/mcmillan-merchant-solutions/

Agreed on the alternative payment processing system. However, worth noting, Bitcoin already does a version of this.
