Very interesting Charlie. I used to occasionally swing a club with a cigar in my mouth, but can’t imagine having any success while smoking a pipe. And he did it while swinging exceptionally hard, amazing!

I liked the few times I got to play golf. I can't smoke my pipe and walk at the same time.

Bet he was a clencher!
Cigars are pretty much designed for golf… I would like to see a current pro strut out smoking a cigar at a tournament. The media would have a collective bed wetting for sure, and associations like the American Lung society would want a lynching.
So much for progress!

Fun thread Charlie
I've been a cigar smoker for 4 decades now and a golfer for 2.
A cigar is in my mouth the entire round.
Tried smokin a pipe on the course a few years back.... couldn't do it.
cheers

19th hole!😉
A cigar is really nice out on the course though, the pace in a foursome offers the time to enjoy it.

Ha ! Finished up a week @ the home office in KC this week. This afternoon I was invited out for a round with a few of my colleagues. the 19th hole was a scotch in the Audi on the way to the airport. Adapt and overcome. :-)
