I didn't have time to smoke much today, benn cutting a lot of wood and then storing it in the wood shed. I still found time to have pipefull no. 7 in my Kingston Judge with Captain Black Roayl. Now, to nurse my sore back, I just started some Davidoff Danish Mixture in my County 4110 Liverpool (2017). That tobacco is a really nice aromatic. Peach Perrier on the side. Cutting/hauling/splitting/stacking wood will certainly do a number on the ol' back. Hope the Peach Perrier helps. I guess the Perrier will have to do as I have not had a drop of booze in over 5 years and don't intend to get back into it. I drank for more than a lifetime while serving with the Royal Canadian Navy. It was time to carry on to other, er, activities.

Good morning Patch. I feel like I'm 150 years old this morning. Currently finishing the Davidoff Danish Mixture started last night. Will continue afterward with pipeful no. 8 in the Kingston Judge with Captain Black Royal. Black tea with milk & sugar on the side and no work for Guyrox today.

SWR from Ye Ancient Pouche. It's still good--and moist. What's a few years between humectants? Small glass of cider.

October 23rd. This morning is a big bowl of blockade runner in the peterson 107 ebony spigoy. The large "U" shaped bowl handles the blend well. I did break out my only tin of jacknife plug yesterday.. Wow what a great blend!. ordered an 8oz can the same day!.. Actually the Bride sent me the tobaccopipes sales email with savinelli tins on sale. Picked up one Janus, and one Jupiter to try. Picked up two crumble cake from sutliff with high hopes for that blend as well and the jacknife made a nice small order. Being able to store larger amountsbhas changed a lot for me. Being in the RV I had to use two ounce tins and darn few of them fit the space. now I got a 65qt rotomold ice chest serving as an excellent vault just for bulk bags and cans with an entire closet shelf just for tins. My what a month or two can change. anyhoo, hope all are well.

A day off is probably just what the doctor ordered. Enjoy!

Welcome to the feeling us older folks have every day...getting old and run down is a fact of life that none of us enjoy...still better than a dirt covering and nap forever. Butternut burley starting a day of doing nothing and enjoying every bit of it....all this in a stained cob.

Happy Saturday, all. Cool and gloomy in these parts. Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Saturday cob and coffee in the cave. Nothing on the schedule today.

Carolina Red Flake w/ Perique shipment just arrived. I've gotten tin 1337, so that one will be cellared for a very long time. Comes very moist and after 25 minutes of dry time, it's burning in a Kriswill Danish Clipper lovat. Tin note is very "red bread," malty, sweet, and a hint of perique. In for a real treat with this run.
Been smoking up Scarecrow and Eight State Burley yesterday and today in various pipes.

You seem to be enjoying the Wally Frank quite a bit. I may have to pull one of my great uncles WF pipes down and give it a smoke.

I'd give it a shot. This one smokes really nicely. Only downside is the small bowl, but I'm figuring out what I like to smoke in it.

My numbers aren't that low. I lack cool. Nah, it's nothing to do with being a low number. It's just from a hacker cultural reference.
I'm smoking more Carolina Red Flake w/ Perique. Now in a 1960's El Kala Algerian rusticated bulldog.

Sutliff Ready-Rubbed Match in this Kaywoodie Natural Burl Dublin. I have a Kaywoodie Flame Grain Dublin--NOS from the shop in town--that i would smoke more often but for the stinger maintenance. It's a great smoker, however. Now it's a MM CG bent with Wessex Red Virginia Flake.
