On the porch enjoying some Peretti D-7485 in my new Peterson Halloween 2021 312. Hot cup of coffee. How’s it smoking?

Speaking of Aromatic Englishes, I'm about half way through a bowl of 2016 Standard Tobacco Co. Bengal Slices in this no name Made in London England bent billiard. Haven't smoked this blend in quite a while, and aging took a little edge off this while putting SMOOTHNESS on the sucker! I mean, it tastes exactly the same, but I can tell the VA and Oriental components have married extremely well in 5 years aging. Will have to put a few more tins of this in the cellar for long term.

Pretty well. Nice clean cool smoke. I'm not sure if the p-lip made much difference in the smoke, but I did really enjoy the D-7485 in it.

I much prefer Bengal Slices fresh to aged.

I think I'll start the day with some C&D John Marr in an MM Dagner Poker this morning. John Marr is an enticing blend of that is altogether mild, bourbon and vanilla top notes, and a well rounded Burley, Turkish, Perique, Virginia mixture that's a very smooth smoking experience. I got myself an ounce bulk of it to sample to see how much I like it and I've been starting to think I like it enough to at least get 4 ounces and jar it up for when I'm in the mood for it. Congress are trying to pass a bill that would seek to increase tax on pipe tobaccos by a whopping 2,100% and that has me worried about just bulk stocking up my most favorites deeper before branching out into newer blends. It starts to feel like a cry wolf situation and Ground Hog Day with these regulation threats every other year or two. One thing's for sure, pipe tobacco and cigars are already quite a bit more than they were back in 2012 and most tins are a couple bucks more per tin.

adding my good thoughts to Kevin with his Mrs & her health concerns. Mine did a bout with Hodgkins Lymphoma but cancer free for past year or so. In from full walks, no-band 6x42 for company. After the Ed is fed, Exotique in Nording freehand & continue with the papers. Mixed bag of things to do thruout the day, just started raining again so yard work on hold. Plenty to do inside, mainly help wifie with her laundry.
62, light rain now, headed for 68 eventually

I don't know about that...Jason (Cramptholomew) and Ron of RdPipes are in charge of the magic in pipes, I just make them look a little better. Bengal Slices (SToP) version that I have is pretty good, but I think I'm gonna let the other 2 tins I have...let them age for 5 yrs and see what that is about...got plenty of tobacco so I won't be short. Speaking of which..BS in a new to me WDC Hesson Guard from 1925 a neat lil prince pipe (no pics as of yet)

Mac. B Virgina with some age on it same Walt cob with Martinelli's APPLE JUICE on the porch. Having read what some of the members are and have been going through. I feel for them but can not type the words. Also reminds me my problems are not as difficult as thiers. I need a reminder to be grateful for where I am at 8 plus years sober and what I have a relatively heathy wife the that puts up with my crap and the shite hole I work for and a heathy little boy who has the most wonderful Nana to watch him when the wife and I are working. Someone that I can trust my son with.
