Started my day with Haunted Bookshop in the Sunday cob and coffee in the cave and workshop. Chilly and a gray morning here.

About half way through a bowl of 2021 C&D Carolina Red Flake Perique in a 1960's BBB Own Make Thorneycroft blasted zulu and coffee. I've got a showcob shorter General style cob with blue/white swirl acrylic stem loaded with Warped Scarecrow, and an MM Mark Twain cob loaded up with Eight State Burley that will be smoked next.

October 24th. I opened the garage door this morning on my way to the Sunday morning ride and found steady rain instead of the dry morning forecast. I swear the weather folk should get more than 50% right with all the computers they have!. So I sat and watched the rain with a bowl of c&d lunchtime blues. Really like the flavor on that blend and need to lay in some bulk. had in the vauen classic volcano. later will be some blockade runner in the vauen. I am trying to give my rack of pipes more dry time between bowls so using one pipe all day then switching is the plan Having 14 pipes sounds like a lot until One discovers some pipes are for special uses and some are too fancy to use in all conditions and now One has a fraction of usable pipes. Thankfully I have 7 I can put in the "working" group. Now can I keep them on a schedule!! anyhoo, hope all are well!

Murray's Warrior plug in an elongated Longchamp. It is the only pipe I have that is not circular, I am wondering if that was just something to be different back then. I am sure there are plenty of others out there, but I haven't seen any.

When you pass and it's listed as an estate pipe, it'll say, "Chamber slightly out of round."

G&H Bob's Chocolate Flake in a straight grained volcano. This pipe was given to me in 2013 and had no finish on it...just bare wood...the color is from usage.

Are you a disciple of Jiminks? If so you need to go to confession, Walt. Nice looking pipe, like the fall background.

No...I don't smoke near as much as Jim does...nor do I have the number of pipes that Jim has. In fact, I have given away many of my pipes to the younger generation...I figure that I have enjoyed them for over 50 years and now they can enjoy them for another 50 years.

Walt, you are among friends...you can be honest about the guy that colored that pipe from raw wood.
No shame, bro!
