There’s a sudden break in the weather long enough for me to go to the office. Haunted Bookshop and Bengal Slices to keep me company today. Happy Wednesday everyone.😁😁

October 27th. This morning has a bit of Sun and a slight chill to the wind as I sit in the garage with the door open having some Escudo in the x105 newgrange spigot (petersons). The Escudo coins have been decanted about a month now and are giving excellent service. Finally found the delicate flavors I suspected were on offer just my prior ignorance of how to prepare the blend prevented them appearing. Hope all are well!

Good morning! I am starting the day with some Dunhill Flake (2014) in my Cumberland 5406 Bent Pot (2015). Was up at 2:00, the wife couldn't sleep anymore so I got out of bed too. This will be a long day. That does make for a long day, Claude. I hope that you guys can have a reset/ recalibration on that and it doesn’t persist. Thanks, bud. We usually get up between 3 and 5 AM. 2 AM is still kind of early.

Think I've seen the ones at SP right now. They were all a bit heavy for me. Or nearly all. None of them were quite right, anyway. Agree. At that price, for me anyway, its gotta be the right shape. It took me a long time to find my two Upshalls. I was looking for normal sized to small which took for a long search since the vast majority of Upshalls were larger pipes. The Bark (rusticated) Canadian is marked group 4 but is actually group 2 in size with a 1.25” deep bowl. That one was an auction win on eBay from Pipestud. The grade P Billiard was a buy it now on eBay from catgoose55. The Billiard is marked group 4 and is spot on group 4 with 0.75” x 1.5” chamber and is 5 1/2” long. The Briary has about 20 NOS Upshalls in stock but they’re priced liked NOS Upshalls… www.thebriary.com/upshall.html

Edit: Northwoods in this cob is something special! Getting some of the toasted marshmallow notes I've read about in some reviews. Very Nice!
