Usual full walks done, no-band 6x42 for company. After the Ed is fed, Exotique in Castello SeaRock G34 & continue with the papers. Hope to get in some yard work thruout the day, looks like a good 'un to do so

October 28th.
Another morning with chill rain.
First bowl was blockade runner in the savinelli 515 rusticated panel billiard.. this old pipe is my largest "work" pipe and does duty with every blend I like. The thick walls slowly warm the hand and makes a nice warm spot in a pocket when done. I got an acrylic replacement stem shortly after buying it due to the weight and the vulcanite stem being very slim. I found myself clenching it and marked the stem up fairly easily so now the original is safely tucked away.
Being large and heavy, the pipe has done well in the cold.
I let it rest for a month or so before the change in the seasons so it seems ready to get back in the rotation.
Later today I am thinking some jacknife plug in one of the smaller bowls.. I have found this blend to be a delight.

Yes, 2015 till 2017 they have made 3 seasons with 30 episodes. Except this advocate who had at least 4 different pipes and smoked in public or inside many times there is another one, i will post soon a photo from him.

Haunted Bookshop in the Thursday cob and coffee. Got a bunch of beat-up pipes in the mail, mostly no-name, to play around with. Working on a nameless, Algerian Briar prince right now. Sun's out and breezy, warmer today. Waiting for a little longer to let things dry out so I can mow the lawn.  |
