Watching the game from an area where the hotel allows smokers. The cigarette smokers do not come in the area for a smoke, they stand out by the curb, suck it down as fast as they can, head back to the room and come out 10 minutes later, lather, rinse, repeat. But then again, if they came on this side of the fence it would probably be littered with cigarette butts, not a bad thing they act like an outcast. Glad I never got that nasty habit. i.imgur.com/LlLDxYA.jpg

I am typically one night away from home, mostly in Arizona, or really close to the border.
Local runs where I am at home are typically much heavier, and the rural patients are cooler on an overnite.
I was at the hotel today at 2:00 smoking me pipe.
A lot different than past road trips I dealt with, and what I see others straggling in to at the hotel. And, I cannot arrive at a patient’s home until after 7, so I get 15 hours off duty, more smoke time.

Is music to the ears, and generally sings to the palate. Depending on the age, smoke it up and enjoy it… it has aged and is ready to smoke, after opening some tins of aged tobacco, the introduction of fresh oxygen can cause degradation, at least I have experienced that. That is why all my current posts on the what are you smoking is Warrior plug, what I have on hand is all that I will ever see, and I am enjoying the majic.

Smoking C&D John Marr in this Leonessa Briosa slight bent rusticated apple. This was the first briar pipe I bought at my B&M. Been with me everywhere, many thousands of miles and round trips on flights, smoked in all the Vegas casinos, many of the Vegas hotels, thousands of miles of long distance work trips and has smoked untold thousands of bowls. Just wanted to take a second to appreciate this pipe. It was $35 at the B&M off the wall of cheap Italian pipes and it smokes as great as any. Seen me through it all.

I wonder if one of those nitrogen dealios they sell for filling open wine bottles would help with that.

A couple guys I've met with massive cellars like to open something, and then vacuum seal the remainder to suspend it in that same state until they get to it again.

That seems like it would work. As long as you don't want to get into it again soon, in which case those vacuum seal bags start to get expensive.

Year 2000 Rattray's Accountant's Mixture in this late 1960's Citation 509 rusticated meerschaum-lined bulldog. Pipe's in desperate need of a decent cleanup and I'll get to it sometime.

Frog Morton Cellar ,with this morning's Coffee. The pipe is a Peterson System #312, p-lip. The pipe is part of a special run of 100 ,that Peterson did for smokerforumUK, to honor a very kind and generous member ,who had become the go to bank of knowledge for anything Peterson. It's marked PeterWD 1945-2009, and I'm smoking it today to mark the passing of the old forum.

Light rain and wind again this morning so I loaded a bit of the decanted escudo in the sc23 Castello. perfect pipe and tobacco choice for today. This old castello has a way about itself on the right days. It just seems to shine in colder weather. hope All are well!
