Recently released and this one is quite the looker. I think it will please the CC fans because it's already out of stock at SPC.

What's even more interesting is that I haven't seen it listed on Missouri Meerschaum Company's website yet.

Thanks for the tip, Charlie. I'm almost tempted by this one. It really looks great.

LOL. I went to the MM website, which I have not been on for a while, and besides ordering the Kingston I discovered they had a line of pipes devoted to the cannibis smokers called Cornabis. I wonder how much that increased revenue?

So, ladies and gents, allow me to give some feedback on the KJ I acquired. This cob seriously looks good. As in: it has class. It's unfiltered. The inside of the shank was drilled cleanly - no wood shards partially obstructing the air way were visible as I've seen with previous cobs. The stem is not fitted too tight. The length & height proportion is well balanced. In a nutshell, I believe this is their nicest realization so far. If you are a cob fan you must get one.
Now, as for the smoking, it is too early to say anything as I've only had one pipeful earlier this morning. I will need to smoke it several times before I can pronounce a reliable verdict.

No shards or splinters would certainly be an improvement.

No shards or splinters would certainly be an improvement. Ha ha, a glowing product endorsement there! It's kind of a pain that MM usually need some X-acto knife work before first use, but for the price, I suppose I won't complain. That is a purdy model, though.

Yeah, I didn't mean to harsh Claude's mellow. It's just a thing that bugs me, even at the price.

It's getting close to the price at which you can get a decent basket briar. I have several that I got for less money that are great smokers.

The Charles Cobbler, Green Emerald and Pot O' Gold were plagued with those when I bought them a few years back. I guess they figured out a way to clean the mess up - which is better than the customer having to do it.

I usually Dremel much of the shank away, so it doesn't have to burn down on it's own during break-in. But, I agree that MM needs to work on providing a cleanly made product.

I think that it is a great looking pipe that I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger on if so inclined, I just don't smoke my cobs all that much and don't need anymore pipes.
