I think today is probably the most celebrated day of the year in this country that isn't an official holiday.I think it should be made official, and I don't even drink beer..Besides what better day to be a holiday than the Cajun's birthday?

We changed things up from our usual Friday fish fry place and drove up the Great River Road a few miles and enjoyed some nice greasy corned beef, cabbage and rutabaga's and a pitcher of ice cold green beer at Ed Sullivan's in Trempealeau tonight!

The Irish have had quite a role in the history of this country, and glad that we can have a day to celebrate Irishmess.
Happy birthday Brad.!

We did the corned beef thing with friends at lunch. I ordered a shot of Tulamore Dew with a Guiness Stout back. A most comforting repast followed by a well deserved nap.

Apart from our Greyhound there are no Irish here to be found. Well, I have a Peterson St. Patrick though....

no excuse, Frank! Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day, lol. Interestingly, though, only Scots celebrate St. Andrews Day

St. Patrick wasn't Irish either, so I guess it's ok. (He was English)
