Last week I dug out a couple of my Clay pipes. I has been an interesting time. During this time I ran a cleaner though the pipe then packed it for the next smoke. But most of the time it was scrape out the bowl, packed the next bowl. I must have smoked 20 - 25 bowls in each pipe. Each smoke was good no bite, bitterness or gurgle, it also seemed that there was little to no moisture while smoking. The neat thing was the way the pipe dealt with the different tobacs I smoked. In other words every smoke was a good smoke.
I'm now thinking about going to Pipe & Cigar and check out their German Clay's. Cause the clays I got now are English. To bad I can't find one made in Ireland.

I've never tried a clay. You have to be careful not to burn your hand, right?

Had two - a tavern pipe and a churchwarden, many years ago. Burned my fingers because I didn't know better. They both fell off a mantle and shattered. They don't do well with gravity.
