I like the lines and proportions. Grain looks nice. And I love a saddle stem. I'd say you're off to a great re-start.

Thanks everyone. I really don't like how translucent the mother of pearl cap I gave it looks. But, it was a learning piece.

I was wondering what that was. In the pic, it almost looks like light-colored horn, but not quite.

With out seeing it in person I would say the Briar had its own idea. You are correct sir! Though in my limited experience briar ALWAYS has its own idea. The trick is to find the pipe within the block. This one, the flaws are all stem related. That and the crappy look the mother of pearl cap gave it.
