That there, is funny.
I remember getting the Sears catalog, mom was more fond of Spiegel for our clothes, I was not... I was amazed at the offerings in the Sears catalog, and the smell of the pages was intoxicating, and better than an Amazon upbringing.

Sears did for us. Jeans, a leather jacket, Engineer Boots. I was a real Punk back then, early and mid 1960s. James Dean wanabe! Sears brought us everything. If it were'nt in the book, it was not needed.

Where I lived up-country the place hadn't been occupied for several years. It had an outhouse out back, leaning precariously. On the one-holer bench inside were two thick catalogs, one Sears and one Monkie Wards. Both had lots of missing pages.

Yeah, I was about to say those weren't for shopping. They were for dreaming for me...with six kids and my dad as a sergeant, the catalog was as close to getting the cool stuff. We always had toilet paper in our outhouse...although I have the porcelain, pipes, we believed in removing bum stink...

The lingerie section was the closest I ever got to a sex education.
